MEANING: The word "crescent" derives from the Latin 'creare', which means to create. So the Crescent Moon is linked with the Creative Power of the Mother Goddess. A Pentacle contains and protects. The circle symbolizes the eternal cyclic nature of life. As it touches each point, it demonstrates the connectedness of all the elements; Spirit, Earth, Air, Water and Fire. A symbol of the holistic relationship between Human Spirituality and the Physical Universe.
This cabinet can be used as an Altar Box enhancing and protecting your creative energies.
THE CARVING: The door is carved from a single piece of western red cedar. The cedar allows the cabinet to be used in warm, moist places and will work as a bathroom medicine cabinet or in the kitchen as a spice rack. The back of the cabinet is keyholed for hanging on the wall, the bottom is smooth and edges rounded for being placed on a table top. The cabinet can be ordered with 1 or 2 shelves and hinged on the left or right. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. SIZE: The overall cabinet measurement will be approximately 12 3/4" wide, and 5 1/4" deep. The height measurement will vary but averages 16" high. The shelf depth is 3".
