MEANING: The most basic Triquetra. Simply three arcs; originally it is believed to the early Celts, the three arcs represent the three aspects of the ancient Celtic Goddess; Maiden, Mother, Crone. Later, as Christianity spread, the three arcs were adapted to the Christian trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is a mini version of Coop's wood carved Celtic Trinity Knot. He uses a screw eye and linen string to display this piece. If you would rather not have the screw eye to hang it from, please let us know. There are pictures with both sizes shown so you can see the difference...this listing is for the wee one! THE CARVING: My Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile. SIZE: The last picture has the piece on a quilting board, lined up on the 1 inch marks. Follow the green lines to the left and bottom, subtract 1 inch from the height and width for the stock size. Measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece.
