MEANING: Celtic Swans, heads touching, elegant necks forming a Heart of Love. Swans are associated with fidelity, loyalty in marriage, and monogamy, because they mate for life.
To add even more Longevity of Relationship to this meaning, Coop has carved the word ‘Forever’ under the Swan Heart.
This is a miniaturized version of the Swan Knot, left and right facing joined together. The first Swan Heart was a wood burning Katrina did that Coop liked so well, he began carving it as a knot!
THE WOOD CARVING: Our carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile.
