Sunburst Pentacle Anti-Possession Wood Carving Symbol Supernatural Occult Pentagram Wiccan Pagan Demon Warding Wall Hanging

MEANING: This wood carving is a Pentacle/pentagram within a sunburst.  A Pentacle is an encircled pentagram. It contains and protects. The circle symbolizes the eternal cyclic nature of life. As it touches each point, it demonstrates the connectedness of all the elements; Spirit, Earth, Air, Water and Fire. A symbol of the holistic relationship between Human Spirituality and the Physical Universe. 

Made popular by the TV series Supernatural, the Sunburst Pentacle is an Anti-Possession symbol, a method to ward off  demonic possession. It features a Pentacle, an encircled pentagram that contains and protects. The circle symbolizes the eternal cyclic nature of life. As it touches each point, it demonstrates the connectedness of all the elements; Spirit, Earth, Air, Water and Fire. A symbol of the holistic relationship between Human Spirituality and the Physical Universe. It is surrounded by the sunburst, radiating light to ward away the darkness.  

THE CARVING: Our carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings.  Each carving begins as a 1 X 12 inch cedar board.  While we use power tools (Scroll Saw, Rotary shaft Tool, handheld detail sanders etc.), we use no laser’s, CNC machines or computer operated cutting machines.  All work is done with our hands and eyes… 

We cut the 2 dimensional blanks with scroll and jig saws (double-sized custom orders have to be cut with jigsaw). Carving is done with rotary shaft tools and disc grinders. The 80 grit sanding is the final phase of the carving process, removing the nicks and gouges from the carving tools, and finishes the shaping of the weave. The next 2 sandings with 120 then 220 grit finishes the smoothing and polishing. They are finished with Clear Danish Oil to seal the piece, bringing out the grain and the color.

SIZE: The full size is approximately 11 inches high and 11 inches wide. Miniature is 8 inches X 8 inches. Basically the outer size may vary some because the bursts are individually drawn. You can figure the OUTER reach of the full size is based on an 11 inch circle, the mini on an 8 inch circle.
