MEANING: “Instant Karma's gonna get you, Gonna knock you off your feet, Better recognize your brothers, Everyone you Meet; And we all shine on, Like the moon and the stars and the sun, Well, we all shine on, Everyone, c'mon” ~John Lennon Lyrics...aren't they grand! Instant Karma! was released as a single by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and the Plastic Ono Band on Apple Records in 1970. It holds a place in pop music history as being one of the fastest-released songs. Recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios the same day it was written, it arrived in stores ten days later. Lennon told the press, he “wrote it for breakfast, recorded it for lunch, and we’re putting it out for dinner.” The song later made its first album appearance on the compilation ‘Shaved Fish’ in 1975. This is a wonderful gift for the music-loving Lennon fan in your life...even if that person is YOU! Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile. SIZE: One picture has the piece on a quilting board*, lined up on the 1 inch marks. Follow the green lines (found at the top and right side of the carving) Subtract 1 inch from the height and width for the stock size. Measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece. *The quilting board, at its simplest, is a board that has 1 inch marks going up the sides and across the top and bottom. There are lines connecting top and bottom, left to right. So it is a one inch grid. (Took me a bit to get to that right word...grid...as Coop says, "I'm not senile, I just have an old processor and sometimes it takes awhile to find the information, but it will come!") So with the piece on the board, you look at the top and follow the line to the left and look at the right side at the widest point and follow the line to the bottom and you have height by width...but wait! It's not that easy! The way this board I have is laid out, if I lined it up on the zero points it would cover up the numbers and on some pieces you wouldn't be able to see them...so, I line it up on the 1 inch marks which means when you get the numbers, you have to subtract 1 inch...
