Miniature Stylized Celtic Heart-Wood Carved Knot of Everlasting Love-Heart shape Love Knot-Artistic Variation of Celtic Heart

MEANING: This is a stylized variation of the Knot of Everlasting Love. While wood burning a Peace & Love Celtic Christian Cross, Katrina was trying to accentuate the Heart in the celtic heart. Coop liked the variation of the Celtic Heart so well that he is now carving that knot! The Celtic Heart is a variation of the original Triquetra Knot. The Heart shape evokes love and it is formed from one continuous line that represents eternity. This symbol expresses “Everlasting Love.”

THE CARVING: My Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile.

This is a mini version of Coop's wood carved Stylized Celtic Heart.

He uses a screw eye and linen string to display this piece. If you would rather not have the screw eye to hang it from, please let us know.

THE CARVING:

SIZE:
One picture has the piece on a quilting board, lined up on the 1 inch marks. The quilting board, at its simplest, is a board that has 1 inch marks going up the sides and across the top and bottom. There are lines connecting top and bottom, left to right. So it is a one inch grid. (Took me a bit to get to that right word...grid...as Coop says, "I'm not senile, I just have an old processor and sometimes it takes awhile to find the information, but it will come!") So with the piece on the board, you look at the top and follow the line to the left and look at the right side at the widest point and follow the line to the bottom and you have height by width...but wait! It's not that easy! The way this board I have is laid out, if I lined it up on the zero points it would cover up the numbers and on some pieces you wouldn't be able to see them...so, I line it up on the 1 inch marks which means when you get the numbers, you have to subtract 1 inch... TA DA!
