MEANING: The Heart shape of this Celtic Love Knot is formed from one continuous line that represents eternity. With Hearts meaning Love, this symbol expresses “Everlasting Love.”

The Celtic Heart is a variation of the original Triquetra Knot and works well in home decor that emphasizes Irish, Scottish or Gaelic…any Celtic Heritage theme. The beauty of the Cedar wall sculpture would add a rich warmth to a wall area of photographs celebrating families and love.

This Eternity Symbol is often given as a wedding gift or anniversary gift (especially the fifth or wood anniversary). It also makes a nice Valentine's day gift!

And, from a personal standpoint, Coop was so taken with the meaning of Eternal Love when he discovered this design, he took it as the logo to represent Signs of Spirit.

SIZE: This listing includes size variations. The full-sized carving is 9 inches tall by 9 inches wide. The miniature of 5.25 inches tall by 5 inches wide. Please contact us if you require a different size, we can accommodate with limitations. The Standard size is as large as we can get from one board, anything from an 11 inch diameter down to 6 inch would fall under the standard size.

THE CARVING: Our carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings.  Each carving begins as a 1 X 12-inch cedar board.  While we use power tools (Scroll Saw, Rotary shaft Tool, handheld detail sanders, etc.), we use no lasers, CNC machines or computer-operated cutting machines.  All work is done with our hands and eyes…

We cut the 2-dimensional blanks with scroll and jig saws (double-sized custom orders have to be cut with a jigsaw). Carving is done with rotary shaft tools and disc grinders. The 80-grit sanding is the final phase of the carving process, removing the nicks and gouges from the carving tools, and finishes the shaping of the weave. The next 2 sandings with 120 and then 220 grit finishes the smoothing and polishing. They are finished with Clear Danish Oil to seal the piece, bringing out the grain and the color.
